Swimmer's Progress

We see two swimmers
stroking their appetites
against the ocean surface
making progress, they head out
well beyond where we thought
they might go.
Courage, stupidity, skill, who knows?
At some point
we no longer see
their heads slicing surf
so far out they go.
Are they safe
still horizontal
or in an unwitting
unwilling
dive?

Oh dive and take it all down.

let go
